France Tour 2007

VIVA LA CHORAL ARTS!

The Baltimore Choral Arts Society made a triumphant tour of France in the summer of 2007, with sold-out performances in three cities, including Paris and Aix-en-Provence. Embarking on their first international concert tour since 1987, Music Director Tom Hall and the Chorus received standing ovations and enthusiastic cheers at every performance.

The concert tour opened in Paris on July 7, 2007. Busses were not permitted on the bridge leading to the Eglise (church) Saint Louis en l’ile, so the entire chorus walked to the performance in full concert dress!

Eternal Light

Sunday, 28 February 2010
3:00 PM • Kraushaar Auditorium

A favorite of Baltimore audiences, Morten Lauridsen's "Lux Aeterna" (Eternal Light) will be featured in the final subscription concert of the season, led by Tom Hall. A celebration of light and a powerful expression of consolation and peace, the work will be paired with the Chorus and Orchestra performing Schubert's youthfull and ebullient Mass in G Major. A "Choral Conversation" is included as part of the program.

The audience's enjoyment of the work was enhanced by the chorus' beautiful diction and the perfect balance between instruments and voices.
