Leo Wanenchak

Assistant Conductor Leo Wanenchak has been with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society since 2000. He performs as a keyboard artist throughout the Baltimore and Washington area. His playing has also taken him to many places in the United States including venues in New York City such as Carnegie Hall, The Riverside Church and Saint Thomas Church. Abroad, he has performed in Romania, Greece, France and Holland. Mr. Wanenchak has also been a featured artist for an NPR broadcast of “Pipe Dreams.” In addition to being assistant conductor of BCAS, Mr. Wanenchak is the Director of the Choral Program and Academic Dean of the Walden School, an intensive summer educational program and music festival offering creative and inspirational music training for young musicians in Dublin, New Hampshire. Mr. Wanenchak is also the Director of the “Larks,” a women’s singing ensemble, a community service project of the Junior League of Baltimore. In addition, he is on the faculty of the Peabody Preparatory Department, and he maintains a teaching studio in his Bolton Hill home.
