Discovery Series

Beethoven 9 Come-and-Sing
April 2025

In April 2025, Baltimore Choral Arts invited members of the public to join us in rehearsing Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 for a workshop with the Peabody Graduate Conducting Studio, under the direction of Marin Alsop. Over 100 singers gathered to rehearse the choral parts first with Music Director Anthony Blake Clark, and then we filled the seats in Peabody's Miriam A. Friedberg Concert Hall to sing along while seven graduate students led us through the piece. The workshop was an educational and transformative experience for all who participated!

Baltimore's Big Sing
September 2024
Baltimore Choral Arts, in collaboration with Artscape, invited members of the public to join us for Baltimore's Big Sing, a joyful and uplifting evening at University Baptist Church. We sang through Choral favorites as well as hits from the 80's: The 1780s, 1880s, and 1980s!

Fauré Requiem Come-and-Sing
October 7, 2023
On a rainy Saturday afternoon, nearly 100 singers from the Baltimore community joined Choral Arts at Grace United Methodist Church to prepare and perform the Fauré Requiem, a beloved standard work in the choral repertoire. Choral Arts is grateful to all of the participants and audience members who made this inaugural performance of our Discovery Series a rousing success!
