For the first time in its 32-year long history, Baltimore Choral Arts’ annual Christmas with Kids concert is going virtual, premiering live on our Facebook page! Watch Pepito and the Snowy Christmas, as the ever-lovable Pepito the Clown and Tilly are swept away on an imaginative adventure as they attempt to help Santa prepare for Christmas, filled with carols sung by our Chamber Singers. This children’s show is perfect for the young and young-at-heart! The video will later be available to watch all season long on our YouTube channel and website. The concert will also be distributed to elementary schools and daycare centers throughout Maryland to aid in virtual learning programs.

Christmas with Choral Arts: Greatest Hits

Christmas Eve at 11:35 pm EST and Christmas Day at 12 pm EST

Broadcast on WMAR-2 Television and their streaming sites.

Also airing on WYPR Radio and WBJC Radio, TBA

This year’s Christmas celebration will highlight 25 years of great holiday classics with Christmas with Choral Arts. We journey from the program’s origins up through the most recent Emmy-nominated performance from 2019, featuring interviews from Music Director Anthony Blake Clark and Music Director Emeritus Tom Hall. This special commemorative broadcast will conclude an international cast rendition of Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”

There will not be an in-person concert this year due to the coronavirus.

The Baltimore Choral Arts Society, now in its 55th season, is one of Maryland's premier cultural institutions. The Symphonic Chorus, Chorus, and Chamber Singers perform throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, as well as in Washington, D.C., New York, and in Europe. Anthony Blake Clark joined Baltimore Choral Arts as Music Director in July 2017, and Tom Hall was named Music Director Emeritus. Clark has established new, large-scale collaborative performances with Maryland Institute College of Art, Maryland State Boychoir, and Peabody Youth Orchestra. In January of 2020, Choral Arts went on its first England tour, with a prestigious invitation to perform with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
