In 2026-27, Baltimore Choral Arts Society presents a series of three concerts that embrace musical and emotional journeys. With Arts and Humanities Artist-in-Residence Judith Krummeck, the chorus will explore themes of belonging and homecoming through American classics in the Fall, traditional holiday favorites at Christmas, and an exciting journey back in time in the Spring.
American Belonging

Presenting iconic American choral repertoire inspired by our nation's ideals, this concert explores what it truly means to "belong" in America. We will feature beloved classics, such as Frostiana by Randall Thompson, and new favorites by composers, both immigrant and natural-born, including Saunder Choi, Rich Campbell, and Caroline Shaw. Author Judith Krummeck guides our listeners through this journey through the lens of her book Old New Worlds, in which she explores her own immigration story from South Africa to the United States.

Christmas with Choral Arts

The Baltimore Basilica
The Baltimore Basilica will ring out with the joyful sounds of our 40+ year Baltimore tradition: Christmas with Choral Arts. The chorus will be joined by the Baltimore Choral Arts orchestra to perform traditional carols and festive tunes, and artists from the Baltimore Black Dance Collective will share a fresh take on excerpts from The Nutcracker. Be a part of the holiday magic as the audience participates in delightful singalongs throughout the evening.

The Baltimore Basilica
Baltimore Choral Arts follows George Frideric Handel from his German beginnings to the brilliant Italian years that forged his distinctive artistic voice. Accompanied by the Baltimore Baroque Band, this performance will take you on a journey through Italy from the perspective of "Il Caro Sassone" ("the Dear Saxon," as he was affectionately nicknamed) based on doctoral research by Music Director Anthony Blake Clark.
